Pressed Seaweed Sample compiled in the 1880's by Edwin Weeler (1831-1909) of Bristol. A Famous Homeopath from a homeopathic family (His brother, Charles was President of the British Homeopathic Society) The samples were collected in the 1880's and then presented to his friends or clients "Mr and Mrs Bennett" in 1886. The samples were collected mosty on the South Coast of England including Torquay, Falmouth, Exmouth and other locations. Also Scotland. Each sample is mounted on wove paper and titled in old ink, listing the species and usually listing the date and location of where it was collected. Mounted back to back on Album Leaf. High Standard Herbarium and the vast majority well preserved with no loss.
